Detailed guide
Karting in early-1970s São Conrado
Divertilândia stood beside the former alignment of Estrada da Gávea, opposite Gávea Golf Club and near São Conrado church. Historical photographs clearly show its kart circuit and large slide.
The park’s main attraction
Local memories attribute the venture to Ricardo Amaral and describe the karts as its principal draw, attracting weekend visitors from Leblon.
Documented period
The park appears in early-1970s imagery and the track is still visible around 1974. Exact opening and closing dates, dimensions, fleet, prices and access rules have not been recovered.
A transformed site
The Lagoa–Barra expressway and later urban development changed the area completely. No kart track survives, and the approximate map marker is not a precise former entrance.
