Detailed guide

Outdoor karting at Area 27

Kartplex Racing operates at Area 27 Motorsports Park near Oliver. Public rental sessions use a purpose-built outdoor circuit and are sold through a reservation-led model rather than walk-in availability.

Rental kart choices

  • R25: the standard adult-style rental is advertised at more than 80km/h.
  • R13 Mini: a smaller kart serves drivers aged eight to 13.
  • BiPosto: a two-seat kart lets an eligible adult drive with a passenger.
  • Kid kart ages: the fleet page says the Sparky kart serves ages three to eight, while the live checkout currently lists a six-minute electric kid-kart product for ages four to seven; confirm the correct product before booking.

Access and safety

  • Under 13: every younger driver must complete the Rookie Racer course before public racing.
  • Under 19: a parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver.
  • Equipment: a helmet and balaclava are included; closed shoes are required.
  • Fit: the rules publish a 260lb or 116kg maximum, and safe seat fit still decides access.

Booking and progression

  • Reserve ahead: reservations are always required and the venue may close when no sessions are booked.
  • Standard session: the current public product is approximately ten minutes.
  • Pit Pass: all drivers need the annual pass or an eligible membership.
  • RMax: the 125cc two-stroke requires an R25 supervised session, a licence test and a separate practice-hour reservation.
