Lombardy Raceway Karting Club FAQs

Venue-specific questions and answers for this circuit.

No. Lombardy Raceway is a club facility. They do not offer daily public rental sessions (like "10 minutes for $25"). To drive there, you must either own a kart or register for one of the specific "Arrive & Drive" leagues or schools.

This is a program run by Nonstop Racing where you pay a fee to join a racing series. They provide the race-ready kart and safety gear, and you compete in organized heats on scheduled evenings (often weeknights). It is much more competitive than standard rental karting.

If you want to race in the Sunday Club Races with the LRKC, yes, you generally need your own equipment. However, the Arrive & Drive League is designed specifically for people who don't own a kart yet.

For the Arrive & Drive leagues, drivers typically need to be at least 12+ years old (check current league rules). For club racing (with your own kart), kids can start in the Cadet class as young as 8 years old.

Yes! Spectators are welcome to enter the fairgrounds and watch the club races for free. It is a great way to see if you want to get involved in the sport.

The most popular engine platform at the club is the Briggs & Stratton LO206 (4-stroke). It is famous for being cost-effective and ensuring that driver skill, not budget, determines the winner.

The season runs from April to October. Club races are typically held on bi-weekly Sundays, with practice sessions often available on Saturdays for members.

The track is located at 6 Kellys Road, Lombardy, Ontario, within the Lombardy Agricultural Society grounds. It is roughly a 10-minute drive south of Smiths Falls.
