Martensville Speedway FAQs

Venue-specific questions and answers for this circuit.

No. Martensville Speedway is a member-owned club track. They do not offer daily "Arrive & Drive" rental karts to the public. You cannot just walk in and pay for a race.

You must register for a specific "Try-A-Kart" event. These are special introduction days hosted by the club. Alternatively, you can visit on a race day to chat with members about buying a used kart and joining the club.

Competitive classes typically start at Age 8 (Junior 1). There are also "Kid Kart" demonstrations for ages 5-7 to learn the basics in slower karts.

The club season typically runs from May to September. Race days are usually scheduled on weekends, with practice sessions held on weekday evenings for members.

Yes! Spectators are welcome to enter the facility and watch the club races for free. It is a great way to learn about the sport before committing to buying a kart.

The most popular classes use Briggs & Stratton LO206 (4-stroke) engines for affordable racing, and Rotax Max (2-stroke) engines for high-speed performance.

You don't need a road car licence, but you will need to join the club and possibly obtain a racing licence/membership from the sanctioning body (e.g., ASN Canada FIA affiliate) to compete in official races.

The track is located just outside Martensville, Saskatchewan, a short 10-15 minute drive north of Saskatoon off Highway 12.
