Detailed guide
An elevated track on Clifton Hill
Niagara Speedway combines go-karting with a roller-coaster-style layout in Niagara Falls. The concrete circuit runs for more than 2,000 feet, climbing a four-storey helix before dropping through a two-tier ramp.
The attraction is outdoors and weather-dependent. Rain can stop racing, and the operator warns that drying the track can take up to 45 minutes after rainfall ends.
The racing format
- Fleet: 36 karts use nine-horsepower Honda engines.
- Speed: the operator publishes a maximum of about 32km/h.
- Duration: a normal race lasts approximately five minutes.
- Capacity: a combined driver-and-passenger weight limit of 375lb applies.
Driver and passenger rules
Drivers must measure between 58 and 78 inches. Passengers must be between 40 and 60 inches, and their driver must be at least 18 or be the passenger's parent or legal guardian.
Plan the visit
- Buy on site: the current attraction page directs visitors to purchase tickets at the venue.
- Check every rider: measure both driver and passenger before joining the queue.
- Watch the weather: call or check the live attraction schedule if conditions are uncertain.
- Allow for parking: Clifton Hill operates a large paid car park rather than free attraction parking.
