The Racing Experience

• Track Layouts: The facility is incredibly versatile, featuring 16 different published configurations (Layouts A through P). This variety keeps the racing fresh, ranging from high-speed layouts with long straights for Shifters to tight, technical configurations for the LO206 classes.
• Membership Access: SMKA offers one of the best value memberships in the state. For an annual fee (approx. $450), primary members receive a key card allowing them 7-day-a-week access from sunrise to sunset (excluding special event days). This "open track" model allows for unlimited testing without paying daily practice fees.
• Guest Policy: Non-members can practice on non-race days only if accompanied by a key-holding member. The guest driver fee is typically $60/day, payable via a drop box at the grid. The member is responsible for the guest's conduct and ensuring the gate remains locked.

Facilities & Logistics

• Airport Security: Due to its location, the facility enforces strict boundaries. Using drones is strictly prohibited (FAA regulations), and leaving the gate open is a major violation that can lead to membership suspension.
• Amenities: This is a "bring everything" facility. There is no fuel and no food service on site. Restrooms are available, and there is a club tower, but racers should be self-sufficient.
• Camping: Overnight camping is generally not permitted for standard practice days due to airport regulations. Limited dry camping is sometimes allowed during major race weekends (like the California ProKart Challenge) but must be confirmed in advance.
