About Kiltorcan Raceway
Kiltorcan Raceway is a 1,100-metre outdoor all-weather circuit at Ballyhale in County Kilkenny with online prepaid sprint and Grand Prix products. Current categories include Junior Sodi LR6 karts for ages 8–12 and a four-foot minimum, Youth Sodi RT10 karts for ages 13–15, Adult Sodi SRS karts from age 16 and five feet, plus a Sodi 2Drive kart for a driver age 21+ and passenger age five or older. Sessions run for 30 or 60 minutes, with separate adult-only and mixed family access, rain operation, supplied racewear and a current seasonal Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule.

The 1,100m Kiltorcan circuit
Kiltorcan Raceway is an outdoor all-weather karting facility at Ballyhale. The family-run venue combines public sprint sessions, adult-only racing, Grand Prix groups, two-seat access and a Tillotson T4 kart shop.
Karts and driver categories
- Junior LR6: ages 8–12, at least four feet tall, in 200cc karts.
- Youth RT10: ages 13–15, at least five feet tall, in the 270cc fleet.
- Adult SRS: age 16 or older and at least five feet tall for adult-only products.
- 2Drive: the driver must be 21+ and the passenger 5+, using the shared-control 390cc kart.
Sessions and safety
- Sprints: 30- and 60-minute products are published, with the hour divided into two 30-minute sessions.
- Grand Prix: adult groups use qualifying and a 20- or 30-minute final with a podium.
- Racewear: gloves, balaclava and a suit or wet suit are supplied; full-leg clothing is required.
- Control systems: remote shutdown, enclosed engines and adjustable seats and pedals support supervised racing.
Booking and arrival
- Prepay online: the operator says all current bookings are processed online and paid before arrival.
- Arrive early: sprint and 2Drive guests are told to arrive 30 minutes before the slot; Grand Prix groups need 45 minutes.
- Rain: racing continues in wet weather and wet suits are provided, so spare clothes are sensible.
- Waiver and fit: minors need adult sign-on, and borderline height or fit remains subject to marshal approval.
