National Kart Centre Limerick is an indoor rental venue at the Old Burlington Estate with standard karting, Limerick-only drift karting, junior sessions and group race formats. Adult and drift drivers must be at least 15 and 5ft 4in, while junior karting starts at age eight and 4ft 5in in 20-minute, five-child sessions; the centre supplies balaclava, neck brace, full-face helmet and gloves. All karting must be pre-booked directly and visitors should arrive 30 minutes early, but Kart Directory exposes no booking button or external checkout.

Indoor karting and drifting in Limerick

National Kart Centre Limerick runs conventional rental karting and a drift-kart experience that is not offered at the Cork branch. The Gillogue venue also supports junior sessions, Grand Prix formats, endurance racing and organised groups.

Adult and junior rules

  • Adult access: standard and drift drivers must be at least 15 and 5ft 4in (about 162.5cm).
  • Junior access: children start at age eight and 4ft 5in (about 135cm).
  • Junior format: sessions last 20 minutes with a maximum of five children on track.
  • Fleet: the centre lists 160cc junior karts and 270cc adult and drift karts.

Safety and facilities

  • Supplied kit: a balaclava, neck brace, full-face helmet and gloves are provided.
  • Footwear: flat, closed shoes are required; heels, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed.
  • Track capacity: the FAQ lists up to ten karts on track together.
  • Facilities: free car and bus parking plus waiting and viewing areas are available, but NKC says there is no food facility.

Booking and arrival boundaries

  • Pre-booking: every kart session must be arranged with NKC by phone or email.
  • Arrival: report 30 minutes before the start for registration and briefing.
  • Hours: Limerick is normally closed Monday, opens 12:30 Tuesday-Friday and 10:00 at weekends, with variable closing times.
