Get behind the wheel for unmatched racing in County Meath.

County Meath is one of the few counties in Ireland that offers a genuine choice between high-quality indoor and outdoor racing within a short drive. Whether you want the weather-proof comfort of the massive facility in Navan or the fresh air and wide tarmac of Athboy, the "Royal County" delivers.

The headline act for indoor racing is The Zone (Navan). Located in the Mullaghboy Industrial Estate, this is not your average warehouse track. It features a 400m indoor tarmac circuit complete with a "Big Dipper" bridge and runs a fleet of 200cc Sodi Petrol Karts. It is a rare example of a modern indoor facility that has stuck with petrol engines for that authentic racing sound and feel. The venue is a massive multi-activity hub, also hosting bowling and laser tag, making it the top pick for parties and corporate groups in the region. For those who prefer the outdoors, Athboy Karting Centre (Delvin Road) offers a raw, traditional racing experience. This 950m outdoor circuit is fast, technical, and rubbered-in. It runs powerful 270cc Sodi petrol karts (SR5 models), which are significantly punchier than standard indoor karts. It is particularly popular for summer championships and drivers who want to test their skills on a full-size grid. Nearby Options: While officially in County Louth, Whiteriver Park (Collon) with a 1,200m circuit is just minutes from the North Meath border, serving residents of Slane and Drogheda.

Go karting in County Meath - FAQs

Common questions about finding a race in County Meath.

The Zone uses petrol karts (200cc Sodi RX7/RX8s). Unlike many indoor tracks that have switched to electric, they have retained the petrol fleet for a more visceral racing experience.

The outdoor circuit at Athboy Karting Centre measures approximately 950 metres, making it one of the longer tracks in the region.

At The Zone, the general minimum age is 7 years old (provided they meet the height restriction of 4ft 1in / 125cm).

White City Karting (Stamullen) is primarily a private/owner-driver facility. For public "Arrive & Drive" rental karting, you are best booking with The Zone or Athboy Karting Centre.
