The rules that apply when you submit an article, announcement, press release or analysis for editorial review.
These Article Submission Terms apply whenever you send editorial copy to KartDirectory.Racing. They supplement the Website Terms and the Community and User Content Terms.
Submitting an article does not guarantee publication. Every contribution is subject to editorial and rights review.
These terms cover articles, opinion pieces, venue or business announcements, press releases, race reports, technical explainers and other editorial material submitted through the article form or directly to our editorial team.
You confirm that the submission is your original work or that you have all permissions required to provide it for publication. Do not copy or closely rewrite another publication. Identify quotations, third-party research, photographs, video, trademarks and other protected material, and provide evidence of permission if requested.
Take reasonable care that factual claims are accurate, current and supported. Include primary source links where available, distinguish fact from opinion, identify press-release material and disclose sponsorship, payment, gifts, employment, ownership or another material interest connected with the subject.
Do not submit illegal, defamatory, threatening, deceptive, discriminatory, privacy-infringing or confidential material; malicious code or spam; unsafe karting instructions presented as official guidance; or personal information that you do not have a lawful reason to share.
You keep ownership of your work. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review, edit, format, reproduce, translate, distribute, display, archive and promote the submission on KartDirectory.Racing and its channels. This licence includes reasonable headlines, excerpts, social previews and accessibility or layout changes.
We may edit for clarity, length, house style, accuracy, legal risk, accessibility and search presentation. Material changes may be referred back to you where practical. Attribution is normally based on your account profile, but we may use an organisation byline or withhold a byline where agreed or legally necessary.
We may request evidence or changes, hold a submission for later, reject it, publish it with edits, correct it or remove it. We do not guarantee publication time, placement, traffic, promotion or payment unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Tell us promptly if you discover a material error, rights issue, undisclosed interest or legal concern. You agree to cooperate reasonably with fact-checking, correction, complaint and rights-verification processes.
We use account, contact, source and submission details to review, moderate, communicate about and publish contributions, keep an editorial audit trail and handle complaints. The Privacy Policy explains this processing and your rights.
