Is the track open during concerts/games?

No. Because the track is located in the stadium car park, it often closes on days when Mt Smart Stadium is hosting major concerts (like Pearl Jam or Coldplay) or Warriors rugby league games. Always check their online calendar before driving there.

What is the minimum age?

Drivers must be 12 years or older and at least 140cm tall. Note: Unlike some indoor tracks that allow 7-year-olds, these petrol karts are larger and faster, hence the higher age limit.

Do they race in the rain?

Yes! As long as it is not a torrential storm or flooding, the race goes on. Wet races are incredibly fun (and slippery). They provide wet weather suits, but bringing a change of clothes is a good idea.

Can I just walk in?

It is highly recommended to book online. Weekend slots fill up fast, and weekdays often have specific opening hours (usually afternoon/evening).

Where do I park?

Enter via Maurice Road (Gate E or F usually). There is plenty of parking right next to the track since it is, after all, a stadium car park.
