About Daytona Adventure Park
Daytona Adventure Park is Wellington's biggest indoor entertainment centre. Located inside the vibrant Brewtown complex in Upper Hutt, it offers a rare mix: an indoor track that still uses petrol karts. While most indoor venues have switched to electric, Daytona keeps the noise and atmosphere of gas engines alive. It is a massive facility that serves as a "one-stop shop" for fun. You can race karts, go ice skating, and play paintball all under one roof, then walk outside to some of New Zealand's best craft breweries.

Detailed guide
The Track Layout
- Indoor Petrol: A rarity in modern cities. You get the grip of an indoor surface but the rumble and vibration of a combustion engine.
- Surface: The track surface is slick concrete/resin, meaning the karts can slide and drift if you push them hard.
- Weatherproof: Being fully indoors, it is the savior of many Wellington weekends when the wind and rain cancel outdoor plans.
The Karts
- Standard Karts: Fast, responsive petrol karts for adults and teens.
- Junior Karts: Recently upgraded fleet allowing kids as young as 7 years old (and 1.2m tall) to drive their own kart.
- Tandem Karts: Available for parents to take younger children (ages 4-6) for a ride.
- Hand Controls: Daytona is notable for having a kart adapted with hand controls to be inclusive for drivers with lower-limb impairments.
Multi-Activity Hub
Daytona is packed with other activities:
- Ice Skating: Home to Wellington's only permanent indoor ice rink.
- Paintball & Gellyball: Indoor arenas for tactical shooters (Gellyball is a low-impact version safe for kids).
- Trampoline Park: A massive bounce zone with foam pits.
- Brewtown: The complex itself is home to Panhead, Boneface, and other major breweries, making it an ideal spot for corporate events or bachelor parties.
