Lakeside Karting has permanently closed. Its announced final day was 23 September 2026. This museum record preserves information about the former venue; it is no longer available for visits or bookings.
The outdoor circuit
The 900-metre track in West Thurrock, Essex featured ten corners, long straights, two hairpins and changes in elevation. Floodlighting supported evening karting.
Karts and experiences
The venue operated 390cc Sodi adult rental karts and 200cc cadet karts on the main circuit, alongside a separate electric-kart track for younger children. Its programme included arrive-and-drive sessions, family karting and organised races.
