Outdoor karting at the Lakeland Circuit

Rowrah Circuit is operated by Cumbria Kart Racing Club in the Cumbrian hills. The club describes it as a technical and demanding outdoor course, with access split between supplied-kart Arrive & Drive, owner-driver practice, private groups and organised competition.

Arrive & Drive and groups

• Monday evenings: the current public programme runs from 4pm to 8pm and every session must be pre-booked by telephone.
• Session choices: one or two 15-minute sessions are offered across Bambino/Cadet and Junior/Senior groupings.
• Supplied equipment: CKRC promotes the kart, safety equipment and expert coaching as part of its introductory route.
• Organised groups: race packages start at ten drivers, allow up to 25 on circuit and combine qualifying with timed sprint or endurance formats.

Owner-driver and racing access

• Practice: Thursday owner-driver evenings run from 4pm to 8pm and also require advance booking.
• Private track hire: midweek practice hire is offered directly by the club rather than through Kart Directory.
• 2026 club series: six CKRC summer championship weekends run from May through November with the stated Motorsport UK KX licence requirement.
• Other meetings: the 2026 calendar includes Super One, The Kart Championship, Ultimate Kart Championship, British Kart Championship and other visiting series.

• Calendar first: national meetings and private use can replace ordinary practice or Arrive & Drive.
