Junior/Kids Kart Racing
n the modern era virtually every Formula 1 World Champion has raced karts at some point in their career as it’s the natural starting point for anyone wanting to get into competitive motorsport. Most kart tracks in the UK cater for kids and the starting age for the majority of circuits is 8 years although there are a few that deal with children between 3 and 7 years.
Even if being the next Lewis Hamilton is not what your youngster wants then karting is still great as a party treat or as a hobby and at GoKartRacing.uk we can help with advice and planning.
Can I race with my junior?
It is possible and these days more and more circuits are running family sessions so that parents and kids can share the track for some great family fun. Our Activity Finder has a huge database of venues and race formats and can help you find the closest track that will allow you all to take part.
Restrictions and minimum age – track-by-track guide
The following list shows the minimum age that each circuit can run together with the minimum height required. Where no height is shown you can assume that there will be a minimum inside leg measurement of 60 to 70cm as they must be able to reach and control the kart with the foot pedals.
