South London has quietly become the most futuristic region for karting in the capital. Gone are the days of fume-filled industrial units; the area is now dominated by high-tech, multi-level electric arenas that offer instant torque and immersive "video game style" racing features.

The heavyweight champion of the area is TeamSport Mitcham. For years this was a classic petrol track, but it has recently upgraded to a fleet of high-performance electric karts. The circuit itself remains one of the best in London—a massive 800m multi-level layout that allows for high speeds and plenty of overtaking. It is the perfect blend of a "proper" driver's track with modern, eco-friendly machinery. For a completely different vibe, Gravity MAX in Wandsworth (Southside Shopping Centre) offers an "immersive" racing experience. The Japanese-designed electric karts here feature boost buttons (ERS) to aid overtaking, similar to Formula 1. The track runs through a neon-lit, multi-level entertainment complex that also includes AR bowling and digital darts, making it the ultimate destination for parties and casual social groups. Sitting on the riverfront is TeamSport Docklands (Charlton). While often grouped with East London due to its name, it is physically located in SE7. It features a fast, sweeping 800m track that is widely regarded as one of the most flowing indoor circuits in the city.
