The South and West of Northern Ireland offers a distinct change of pace from the city tracks of Belfast. Here, the racing is almost exclusively outdoors, set against the backdrop of Gosford Forest and the Fermanagh Lakelands. This region is home to accessible, driver-focused circuits that are perfect for families and groups exploring the border counties.

In County Armagh, the primary venue is Gosford Karting (Markethill). Situated just beside the popular Forest Park, this 500m outdoor circuit has been a local staple for over 20 years. It runs a fleet of Sodi and Biz petrol karts, offering a "Grand Prix" style experience on tarmac rather than polished concrete. It is the go-to location for residents of Armagh City and Newry who want a quick, adrenaline-filled fix without travelling to Belfast. Over in the West, Lakeland Karting (Kesh) serves County Fermanagh and the Enniskillen area. This is the only commercial kart track in the far west of the province. The 550m outdoor track is technical and tight, rewarding smooth driving over pure horsepower. It is particularly popular with tourists and stag groups visiting the lakes, offering a fleet of petrol karts for adults and restricted cadet karts for children aged 7+. Important Update: Newry Residents of Newry will be aware of Formula Karting (Greenbank Ind. Est). Please note that this venue suffered a major fire in July 2024 and is currently closed to the public. While planning permission has been submitted for redevelopment, there is currently no operational indoor track in Newry City.
