It is an all-weather, floodlit track that features a technical mix of hairpins and flowing corners. Crucially, it runs a fleet of Sodi RT8 petrol karts for adults and juniors, ensuring that visceral "race car" feel that electric karts often miss. It is the go-to destination for stag dos, rainy day activities, and serious local competition.
For younger families visiting the coast, Sandham Karts in Sandown offers a gentler alternative. Located within Sandham Gardens, this is a dedicated track for children aged 4-12 using electric karts. It is not a race circuit for adults, but rather a "first taste" of driving for little ones who are too small for the main track at Ryde.
Note: You may remember a track called "West Wight Karting." Please note that Wight Karting (Ryde) is now the only operational competitive circuit on the island.
