Maui Go Karters Association is an active SKUSA-sanctioned owner-driver club at Maui Motorsports Park, using a half-mile outdoor sprint course near Puunene. Owner-driver karting on Maui

Maui Go Karters Association is a member-led club at Maui Motorsports Park rather than a tourist rental attraction. Its outdoor half-mile sprint course supports practice, time attack and developing wheel-to-wheel competition under club and SKUSA rules.

Current activity and access

  • Weekly practice: the club currently advertises Saturdays from 09:00 until roughly 16:00 or 17:00.
  • Recent return: a November 2025 time attack and January 2026 counterclockwise practice are marked complete.

Karts, test drives and safety

  • Owner-driver focus: practice guidance expects suitable personal kart equipment, tools, spares and protective gear.
  • One-day test: a newcomer can request a pre-approved practice-day test drive before committing to membership.
  • Test fit: the current trial guidance gives a minimum age of ten and a maximum weight of 175lb for the available kart.
  • Protective equipment: full-face approved helmet, suit or suitable clothing, gloves, footwear and body protection are required.
