Kamin Science Center opened Science of Speed in Pittsburgh on 1 August 2026, adding a multi-level indoor electric kart track to the museum’s visitor offer.
The new attraction combines karting with racing simulators and interactive exhibits exploring the physics, engineering and technology behind high-performance machines.
Karting meets hands-on science
The circuit forms part of a wider 21,000-square-foot experience. Daytime karting is offered alongside general museum admission, while selected evening sessions provide an adults-only racing format.
The venue also promotes monthly challenge racing, extending the project beyond a one-off museum exhibit into an ongoing indoor karting destination for Pittsburgh.
Visit the official Science of Speed page for current tickets and session information.
